Programs and Offerings
Mindfulness-Based Elder Care classes and workshops offer mind-body, biological and manipulative interventions. They are experiential and present a variety of techniques. By offering a range of techniques, participants are likely to identify one or more that will fit their unique circumstances. The classes focus on the abilities of the participants, not their disabilities. This is an important aspect in settings that often solely focus on disability and diagnosis. Class participants are encouraged to discover their own inner resources and to utilize their strengths and learn to identify areas in which they have control in their healing.
Rose Hughes, Executive Director, Montana Health Care Association, described an all day presentation:
"Participant’s comments included descriptions such as wonderful, excellent, passionate and a positive experience. They found your information helpful and they appreciated the way you were able to generate good discussion among the attendees."
